Question: is it really necessary to have so many Federal Properties which are not in use? Can't we do anything better with them? --Oos Wes Ilava Thoes Bès 14:45, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

They'll be filled sooner or later. E.g.: all departments still need a place. Dimitri 14:50, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Ok, but there are still many of them... --Oos Wes Ilava Thoes Bès 14:52, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Be patient my friend, Rome has not been built overnight ! Lars 14:53, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
I know :) but I find it useless to leave many buildings unused even after the departments are settled. --Oos Wes Ilava Thoes Bès 14:54, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
We have to have buildings for all police departments (federal, state, town, city), federal departments, federal agencies... That's more than 30. Dimitri 14:59, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Ow! Forgot the police :) --Oos Wes Ilava Thoes Bès 15:01, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

They'll be filled later indeed Smile Limba. Can't we otherwise open a police section in Little Europe? --Bucurestean 16:14, November 16, 2009 (UTC)

Indeed, I still find these million Federal Properties a waste of space. Perhaps we can cut through a small portion of these? --OuWTBsjrief-mich 11:52, June 29, 2012 (UTC)

Actually, looking through the list, a lot of them have been bought by companies. Maybe we can go through and remove those ones that are being used by entities other than the government (probably by accident). TimeMaster (talkcontribs) 12:26, June 30, 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, that's a good idea. --OuWTBsjrief-mich 15:11, July 1, 2012 (UTC)

Update/plans[]

Half these properties are used now and most have changed addresses. Plans we could go for include actually developing them for use or simply selling or renting off those plots, particularly in areas with little government presence. HORTON11: InboxFollow me! 17:48, August 15, 2014 (UTC)

I think we need to have a governmental review of federal properties and really discuss the options, I agree. Hoffmann LogoCNP2wt KunarianTALK 18:13, August 15, 2014 (UTC)
What we could be making off of those is a real big amount. And they do not all have to be developed into government offices. One could be public art space, an innovation center or youth center like you proposed. HORTON11: InboxFollow me! 18:19, August 15, 2014 (UTC)
