Portland High School is a public high school in Bayfield, Portland for children between the ages of 11 and 18. The school is operated by the Kings State Government.

The school was opened in 2013, becoming the second school in Portland after Portland Primary School.

Curriculum[]

The school teaches a wide ranging and balanced curriculum. The core subjects at the school are English (Language and Literature), Mathematics and Science (comprising of Biology, Chemistry and Physics), and all students work towards LCEs in these subjects.

The school also offers a wide range of optional subjects for students, including History, Geography, Languages and the Arts. Students typically choose between 3 and 4 of these optional subjects, and work towards LCEs in them as well.

In addition, all students study short courses on PE, Citizenship, IT and World Religions, although external qualifications are not awarded for them.
