The Peace Island Fire Rescue Agency is an island-wide fire-and-rescue brigade jointly operated by the states of Oceana and Sylvania. The City Archipelago and Discovery Isle also lie within their area of responsibility. They have local stations in any settlement that does not have a fire brigade of its own or is not served by one nearby, typically staffing at least one medium duty pumper and one Type 2 ambulance at each facility. Emergencies on one of the outlying islands are usually handled by helicopter.

Apparatus unique to PIFRA[]
Many PIFRA stations field an additional vehicle type, a "cruiser" or "errand car" similar in appearance to a battalion chief's saloon or SUV but typically loaded with extra fire extinguishers, rescue gear, medical equipment and so forth, also used to deliver additional personnel to an incident. This vehicle is also used to do the station's grocery shopping, go on building permit inspections, and carry out other routine business not requiring a truck or a squad.
