Pacific Ocean
From Wikination
The Pacific Ocean is the largest ocean in the world. The name comes from Mare Pacificum, what is Latin for peaceful sea. It extends from the Arctic in the north to the Antarctic in the south, bounded by Asia and Australia on the west and the Americas on the east. It covers about 32% of the world's total area, making it larger than all of the earth's land area combined. The equator subdivides the ocean into the North Pacific Ocean and South Pacific Ocean. The Lovia Archipelago lays in the Northern Pacific Ocean, near the Californian coast.
