The book starts with the sentence The fog appeared. which is an introduction to the book. It is filled with vague clues, as is very common in books written by Jonas Hladovka Sr. It tells a story about Gregior Hlán and Ron Fromfields, two mine workers who live in Oceana. As the mines are getting empty many people lose their jobs and wages go down. Gregior and Ron get fired and can't find another job. In order to get money they start an invisible revolt.
