Royal Standard

The monarch's Membership by Right is often represented using the Royal Standard

In Lovia, the ruling monarch was formerly a Member of the Congress by Right. After the approval of the Third Constitutional Amendment in 2010, Article 1 B of the Constitution stated that "the ruling monarch is Member of the Congress by Right, meaning he is automatically granted a seat in the Lovian Congress." From 2007 until the Third Amendment, both the ruling monarch and his partner were both entitled to a seat in the Congress. As King Dimitri I of Lovia was unmarried during this period, this was never enforced.

The republican movement in Lovia has at multiple times expressed concern about the king's Membership by Right.

The ruling monarch's Membership by Right was abolished in the 2011 State Reform. However, in the 2012 Judicial Reform, the ruling monarch was reinstated as a non-voting member.
