The Lovian National Army was a national temporary force that was created by Prime Minister Justin Abrahams to act as a military during the Burenian invasion of Lovia. Charles Alexander Bennett was appointed commander in the field of the military forces. In cooperation with the Federal Police and its Commissioner, Bennett had the remaining stationed Federal Police begin training of soldiers of Lovia. It currently holds about 850 members, with most being from the former Southern Cross Alliance and the United Nations Lovian Order Restoration Force. It is estimated that another 1,000 recruits could have enlisted in the following weeks.
While not incorporating the Lovian Land Army, the two had firm cooperation in the matter to repel the Burenian invasion of Lovia. Its temporary headquarters are located in Newhaven but at the conclusion will move to Noble City if the military is legislated to be a permanent force.
The future of the military would be decided after the conclusion of the war with Burenia and the LNA was disbanded after the conclusion of the war. Any permanency of the force will require legislation and further congressional scrutiny.
Units[]
- Kings Division:
- The largest of the military units, its primarily built of former UNLOR forces, with a size of nearly five hundred men and women this unit is the most well trained and highly operational.
- DEPLOYED / 350 TO NORTH & 150 TO SOUTH
- Sylvanian Division:
- Based outside of Charleston, this unit is primarily built around the former Southern Cross Alliance. With nearly 300 members, this unit is the second largest division in the army.
- DEPLOYED ALONG SYLVANIAN-OCEANA BORDER / AIDING SYLVANIAN MILITIA
- Task Force 2: This unit is led by the Prime Minister and will be responsible for protecting and safekeeping Lovia's monuments and cultural treasures.
Equipment []
While sufficient equipment has not yet reached the army, Bennett has made excessive use of the former Civil War arms left behind by the rebels and UN operators. Several members of the Kings Divions are equiped with the M14 Rifle, heavy padding used by former fighters in the Civil War is being used. Uniforms are typically makeshift and are almost militia standard, a blue and red sash with a Lovian pine is given to every enlisted solider to wear around their arm. Trucks are primarily used by the soldiers to deploy in the battlefield; while trains (formerly used as passenger trains) were converted in to long travel transportation; making walking and long tracks obsolete. Mobilizations among the divisions is done quickly.
