The Lovian Macochet League, officially the Pierlot Pizza Lovian Macochet League for sponsorship reasons, is the top-level professional league for macochet clubs. As the country's primary macochet competition, it serves as the top tier in the Lovian macochet league system. It consists of ten teams - each team playing 18 matches. Following the regular season, the top four teams enter the secondary stage, a small knockout tournament. The competition was founded in 1982, and has since grown to become one of the most popular throughout the country. The tournament's headquarters and offices are located in Newhaven, Kings.
In the 2014 season, the Newhaven Bulls finished third in the regular season, however were crowned champions following in the Grand Bowl. All teams that participate in the secondary stage automatically qualify for the IMU Macochet League, a tournament that consists of the top macochet teams from across the world. There are plans for a new system to be implemented in 2019, which could see the expansion of the league and either a more advanced secondary stage, or a tertiary stage.
Six of the teams are based in Sylvania, however one team is also located in Kings, Seven, Oceana and Clymene. Because of this, the sport has grown to become widely popular in Sylvania, however in an attempt to gain popularity in other states, there are plans for an expansion of the league allowing other states to be well represented.
