[edit] The island

The exploration of Love Island began on June 2, 2008 by a man called Matthew Thompson. He was washed up there when he fell overboard off a boat. He has now managed to make contact with Lovia through his device called the Inculator. Matthew Thompson has yet to achieve his citizens rights so he won't be rescued until he achieves them and proves himself worthy of them.

[edit] Lars' thoughts

This section contains mostly side information on related subjects.

Having been invited on January 16, 2008 by HRH King Dimitri in de Palati Daidalo, Lars Washington is convinced to have found the answer to the question: Xenia or Xenos

Xenia (ξενία xenía), hospitality, was an extremely important practice in ancient Greece. It was an almost ritualized friendship formed between a host and their guest, who could previously be strangers. The host fed and provided quarters for the guest, who was only expected to repay with gratitude. The importance of this can be seen throughout Greek mythology, in particular Homer's Iliad and Odyssey.

Xenos (Greek ξένος, xénos, plural xenoi) is a word used in ancient Greek from Homer onwards that has a wide gradient of meaning, signifying such divergent concepts as enemy stranger as well as ritual friend.
