Carry me

Stone, Parker, Lyman Aitken, Rose

George Stone and the Rockets was a Lovian rock and roll group of the 1960s.

History[]

The group was founded in 1961 by George Stone and Buddy Lyman. Other members who joined were Walt Parker, Jay Aitken and Marcus Rose. The rockets signed on with Label Records in 1962 and released their massive hit single I'm Crazy, which lasted 13 weeks in the top ten. Their album Carry Me became the highest selling album in Lovian history to date. By 1964 there were frequent arguments within the group and they broke up in 1965. Stone pursued a solo career, as did Aitken. He would later die of a drug overdose in 1969. Parker lost everything while gambling, Lyman was murdered in 1973 and Rose died in a car crash in 1988.
