The Corona Custom was the first car produced by Corona and later on their base model. The Custom was produced from 1951 to 1962. The original Custom was a small family car and after 1955 is was the base model in the Corona lineup.
The first Custom, produced from 1951 to 1955, was a small two-door family sedan. In 1954 they introduced a Travel-Aire model (inspired by the Kaisers), which featured a lift up rear door, as in hatchbacks.
