Sebastian Castillo, Silvana Kowalski

The Liberal Christian Party (LCP) was a former minor Lovian political party which is presently active. It was founded in 2001 by William Zutkovic. The present chairman is Sebastian Castillo, who replaced Zutkovic in 2009, though he was to be replaced in 2015. Castillo, elected to congress in 2011 is the party's first congressman. In 2011 its name was changed from Christian Democratic Union to Liberal Christian Party. The party lost all representation in the 2013 elections and support largely dwindled. The party hoped to select a new leader and reinvent itself to participate in state politics, with a view to make a return federally for 2016, but this did not transpire.

LCP had a moderate social and economic policy (largely centrist), making it fairly close to CCPL in several respects, and other Christian parties. A new plan for the party is being drafted, possibly leading to a new course.

LCP had one MOTC, Sebastian Castillo (as CDU) in the 2011 Second Congress. He was re-elected for the 2012 Congress. For the Federal Elections, 2013, LCP did not garner the support it had in previous years and failed to win a seat. The party did not run in 2014 or 2015 and when plans to renew itself did not materialize, the party folded. William Zutkovic made a return to the party in late 2015, alleging that Castillo had no right to disband the LCP. He formally reinstated the party as its founder and is looking to refresh it with the possibility of a new logo. He renamed the second in command of the party to "First Deputy Vice-Chairman" and is occupying that post until a suitable person can be found to fill it.
