The White Sands

The White Sands Robbery was a major theft at the White Sands Casino Resort which occurred on April 10, 2011.

The theft[]

At 2:00 PM, a fire broke out in the White Sand's electrical room, and sent people panicking out. Around the same time, Adoha sustained a major power outage. The fire had damaged the casino's generators, so the casino's backup electricity was not functioning. Some time during the power outage, an group of people, presumably the Luciano Gang, broke in and made off with over $54,160,000 in marked US bills.

On April 11, known criminal Frank Gernam was arrested in Sofasi trying to cash in over $500,000 in the marked notes. Gernam then implicated the criminal Robert Luciano in the affair. Mr. Luciano, a key suspect, fled the country on the 13th of April and was later arrested in Canada with over $1.5 million. In July the same year, more stashes of money were found in many places in Canada, Lovia and the United States. In total, $17.8 million was recovered. The other large sum of money hasn't been found, and 14 people have been arrested in Lovia and Canada combined. On February 10 2013, Frank Gernman was sentenced to ten years in prison.
