Sounds like the plot of a very bad thriller, but it appears to be everyday reality within Walden. Accusations of corruption and bribery shocked the nation yesterday and the day before, and now things get even worse. The affair gets out of hand and fierce discussions continue. The entire case, at first merely an accusation of fraud and corruptions, is taken to an entirely next level by McCrooke today as he admits in a conversation with Donia to be the mastermind behind an attempted coup! The plan was apparantly to mail "evidence" of misbehaviour by one or more site admins to the main staff of wikia and thus get rid of the government. McCrooke planned to make himself the dictator of Lovia, King Pierlot I, and appoint allies to high positions in the government... Meanwhile, Marcus Villanova has admitted to being guilty of corruption and bribery! Walden has not reacted to all this commotion, and is having a hard time with fascist members, corruption inside the faction and even planned coups and attempted blackmail! Villanova is nowhere to be seen, and McCrooke tries desperately to cover up evidence. This time he targets La Quotidienne, the newspaper responsible for writing a devastating article about him yesterday. He has attempted to sabotage the newspaper today as can be seen here, by removing content from the talk-page of the page and placing it in the archives, getting rid of a discussion in which "evidence" clearly points towards McCrooke as the mastermind behind an evil plot which took place months earlier. The situation tenses and things threaten to get out of hand. Tonight, on an extra-long live episode of Oceana Late, the entire affair will be revealed and explained. Donia Show sabotaged by Waldener Hurbanova - November 28, 2010 - The infamous whistleblower affair has already provoked much tension in Oceana and soon in the entire nation. Famous and well-read newspaper had "the scoop" when journalist and powerful media-mogul Edward Hannis wrote an article about the matter. Next day, the 27th, things got worse as Ygo August Donia announced to have Alexandru Latin (live?) on the Oceana Late-show next sunday to talk about the wide-spread corruption on a grande scale within Walden. Co-anchor and self described "side-kick" of the show, Pierlot McCrooke, was very dissatisfied with the subject of next sunday. He initially tried to persuade Donia not to air the episode and after this failed he attempted to sabotage the show. He did so by replacing the tape of the episode with the tape of a report he made on pets, in this ill-faithed attempt to stop the show from airing. McCrooke was, however, caught in the act by Taisho Kumato, another cast-member. Host Ygo immediately upon hearing of this attempted sabotage fired McCrooke from the show. McCrooke was last seen sobbing in the lobby of the Oceana Broadcasting System's head quarters. In an interview with Hurbanova Novine, Kumato has told the press he already suspected McCrooke of being untrustworthy and his performances on the show had been bad lately, as if the co-anchor was distracted by something. He probably knows more of this corruption case then he is willing to admit. It is not the first time McCrooke, a former leader of the fascist IGP, has his integrity called into question and it provides more than enough reason to remove him from the show. As politician McCrooke is more famous for switching sides then he is for actually contributing to the nation in any way whatsoever. He just happens to be a member of Walden, from which the corrupt MOTC is said to be. Is this just a "coincidence", as he claims? His latest excuse is that the man sabotaging was a faker, even though camera's clearly registered McCrooke and dozens of witnesses can testify against him. Overall, a very interesting case. According to this letter a certain Waldener has attempted to bribe someone on the day of October 17 2010, one of the last days of the State Elections. Due to dissatisfying polls, he tried to make use of the situation and contacted him in secret. There was a lot of hurry, because the State Elections would end in a couple of days. The Waldener proposed a vote switch: whether he would back up progressive, of course Walden, proposals in Congress and support Waldeners in the next elections. It's the only active and well-viewed radio and television broadcaster of Lovia. Oceana again is way ahead of its time! The huge success is partly thanks to the system of bodies, which has been influenced by the Dutch pillarisation. The Limburgish, Oceana and Progressives all have their own programs, so everybody is served to his own taste. We'll highlight some of the most remarkable programs. 1. Touring thru Hurb definitively is worthwhile watching. The show is all about local buildings and other places of interest. Dwayne Jólkavský does a great job in selected the most interesting spots and telling stories about them nobody has ever heard of before. 2. The History of Oceana is presented by Donald Smith. It is a dearing choice of the Slavic Oceana Broadcaster to choose for this presenter. He originally is from Noble City and has a "normal accent" instead of a Beaver River accent like most Oceana people do. To put him on a show about the history of our state surely has attracted many outsiders! 3. Children's hour is the program with most viewers after one other. With programs in Oceana and Limburgish, all subtitled in English, it increases children's ability to speak the languages of other Oceana people. Oshenna Tales also tells some stories, fiction and non-fiction, about Oceana, so it's also very informative. 4. RegioSoap: That Mouning Is O'Temon is a huge succes. On a daily base, two thousand people watch the soap and therefore it's the most successful program. A very interesting soap which can't be overlooked and will have a huge influence in the future of Lovian television. 5. Oceana Late is the show of the politician Ygo August Donia. A very well-balanced show with serious contents, but which is often brought not seriously. It is clearly influenced by Dutch television. The winner was the Walden politician Andy McCandless, but he already seems to be a wrong choice. He disappeared one day after his inauguration and after being elected for nine days, he still hasn't returned. For many conservative Oceana who were already very sceptical about the new governor and who were suspecting election fraud by numerous of new people quickly buying houses in Oceana in order to vote away the conservative Christian Oos Wes Ilava this is a clear sign. The natsionalists support Ilava, with the argument that he is the only one who represents the entire population and respects cultural differences. The Lovian community is afraid of further polarization. The majority votes for Harold Freeman of the LU or McCandless of Walden, hoping that the State of Oceana will not get any special status. Asht Ilava was the last old-fashioned conservative governor of Oceana. He passed away today after having falling ill two weeks ago. Many will remember him as a daring leader who was not willing to give in to the changes of the time he was living in. Asht Ilava first started his political carreer in 1960, when he became a member of the former LPCO. In 1962 he ran for governor, but he lost from the more progressive Peter Ský. His first term began in 1964 when he finally was elected. He was re-elected in 1966, but resigned one week before his term would end. The Oceana youth did not like him at all. Being the last old-fashioned conservative governor he was not very happy with the changes in society and he was of the opinion that the youth should be taught how to act like a real man should. This opinion was made very clear when he stopped a demonstration in 1967. After his governorship he became locomotive operator. A job which he did with a lot of passion until his retirement in 1986.
